Counseling is a long-term process-based discipline that stems from mental health, and usually, the client meets the diagnostic criteria from DSM-V. The client works with healthcare licensed professionals, psychologists, counselors, and therapists to diagnose, process, and resolve past traumatic and problematic symptoms, behaviors, relationship issues, feelings, and sometimes physical responses. Counseling and therapy focus on mental health recovery, being mentally healthy—relief from past trauma, changing self-destructive habits, repairing and improving relationships, and working through painful feelings to live a healthy and functional life. Licensed professionals such as psychologists, counselors, and therapists must complete extensive education and training to acquire license and specialization certifications to provide services for depression, anxiety, trauma, substance abuse, relational conflicts, grief/loss, and a wide variety of clinical diagnoses day-to-day challenges, and struggles.

Coaching :
Focuses on identifying tangible, measurable, realistic goals and creating concrete action plans to attain goals. Coaching works in the present and future while processing past learned behavior and belief systems. Coaches help individuals identify their goals and obstacles, provide guidance and support, and place a great deal of accountability for individuals to reach their full potential. Coaching involves working around an individual’s mindset and attitude by discovering the root cause of self-limiting beliefs and negative talk.

Therapeutic Coaching is finding an ideal blend of the two approaches.
Therapeutic coach means that I have an extensive education, experience, and training in both mental health and caching professional. I can assist on many different levels. I am a certified licensed practitioner (LPC) in the state of Missouri and a certified energy leadership coach and ELI-MP (Master Practitioner).
My effective, action-oriented, and positive approaches help you get results. This can be through therapy or solution-focused coaching, depending on needs.
In my practice, we may start in a place of pain or fragility, but , through meaningful inner therapeutic work of self-observation, self-awareness, self-acceptance, after achieving therapeutic healing, we move forward into action and goal-oriented coaching process for personal transformation and growth.
As a therapeutic transitional coach, I help individuals to heal from past trauma, let go of default tendencies and belief systems, recognize personal obstacles and challenges, create a new perspective and mindset, stay focused, learn personal responsibilities and self-accountability.

Outside of Missouri, I work with clients as a Therapeutic Coach, and only in coaching capacity. Because I am a trained and experienced therapist in clinical mental health, I can educate and provide professional expertise in the form of guidance and resources to seek mental health services at clients’ local residences area. If you are outside the local area (Missouri) and appear to need conjoint therapeutic services alongside your work together with me, you will be referred to a local clinician.
